Stars—they aren’t really like us. When we’re looking to drop a few fast pounds, we head to the gym for a quick workout a few times a week (or at least we say we will, then sit on the couch watching “Law & Order” instead), but celebrities spend a good part of their lives focusing on intense fitness regimens and diets in order to appear perfect at all times. Sometimes, however, they take it to extremes that are just plain crazy. Below, we’ve complied the 10 most shocking (and downright weird) celebrity weight loss tricks and secrets.
A reduced-calorie diet is instrumental to losing a significant amount of weight in a short period of time. A 1997 study published in the “International Journal of Obesity, “ which analyzed 493 weight loss intervention studies over a 25-year period, showed that diet and diet plus exercise interventions resulted in approximately four times the weight loss over a 13- to 15-week period compared to an exercise-only intervention. Furthermore, both groups with a reduced-calorie diet lost weight at an average rate of about one kilogram per week, whereas the exercise-only group lost 0.2 kilograms per week.

Of course we are not referring to the slow ballroom kind of dances in which one person actually leans on the other one for support. We are talking about fast dances. The best way to do it is by joining a dance class because they will really wok you out. But I would suggest that you wait for a couple more pounds to vanish before you think of becoming a ballerina.
It’s a matter of discipline to stick to a 1200 calorie a day diet (which is the recommended safe limit). Going below 1200 calories can cause health problems, so I’ve read. If you don’t eat right and get the nutrients your body needs, your teeth will come loose and fall out over time. But I’m not going to die from a one day fast a couple times a week. Taking vitamins is really important because America’s food growers don’t replenish the soil with selenium and other needful nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that the human body needs. There’s over 5,000% of the RDA of vitamin B12. I like them.
